We have a large selection of single, double & twin rooms, and 4-8 bed shared dormitories. All rooms include hotel quality mattresses with bedding included with heating and room keys. As the building was originally a hospital, there are many bathroom facilities and a large laundry.

• Our hostel is a place for short stays for tourists and people in town for work or hospital visits.
• School groups, clubs, sports and work teams can be accomodated by request.
  It is not an alternative to a boarding house or residential accomodation
• To maintain this environment, inapproriate reservations may be cancelled and enquiries declined.

Being able to present a valid passport or NZ drivers licence + your CREDIT card is necessary to stay.

• An amount equivalent to the first night's charge will be pre-authorised on the supplied credit card and held until check-out as the security bond.
• By default, booked nights would be charged to the credit card supplied but it can be possible to pay in person.
• Credit card charges incur a surcharge. Direct deposit is available for large payments, such as group bookings.
• Alterations to bookings must be made outside of 24 hours of your arrival to avoid cancelation fee of first night's stay.

As a small, family-owned business, we have had to reduce the staffed reception hours considerably since 2020.

• Staffed reception hours vary depending on the season and may be closed over winter.
• Reception will contact incoming bookings to arrange check-in
• All guests must behave cordially and considerately to others.
• Alcohol permitted on ground floor common areas only, until 10pm.
